Rooted in Self-Care, Grown with Intention

What began as a personal journey to reconnect with wellness has grown into Reverie Roots—a space to slow down, heal, and support others on their path to balance and self-nourishment.

Come be apart of the journey

Reverie Roots was founded from a deeply personal realization—the need to prioritize well-being in a more holistic way. After years of supporting others through massage therapy, Sam began to notice a common thread: so many people, including herself, were caring for their bodies while neglecting their deeper needs. This insight sparked a shift. Reverie Roots was created to offer not just physical support, but resources and experiences that help individuals “pour into their own cups” and nurture every part of themselves—body, mind, and soul.

It all started with self-care

Hey, I'm Sam- the creator of Reverie Roots, a wellness brand designed to help you nurture your body, mind, and soul. As a Registered Massage Therapist with a background in health, wellness, and fitness, I’ve dedicated my career to helping others feel their best. But what I’ve come to learn is that true wellness isn’t just physical—it’s about caring for your whole being.

My own journey began during a time when I felt disconnected and overwhelmed. I turned to practices like yoga, journaling, and sound therapy—tools that helped me slow down, reflect, and heal. These practices have become the heart of what I now share through Reverie Roots.

Today, I host wellness events that weave together massage, mindfulness, and movement. I also support fellow wellness professionals through offerings like my Indie Head Massage course, helping them grow in their craft and deepen their impact.

With additional training in Thai Massage, Cupping, and Indie Head Massage, I’m always learning and expanding. But what grounds me most is my family—their love and support continue to inspire everything I do, both personally and professionally.

What inspired you to get into the wellness space?

I first got into wellness to better understand how to care for my own body. I had dropped out of university and felt a bit lost, so I enrolled in a health and fitness program. That’s where I realized wellness is about so much more than just how we look — it’s about how we feel, connect, and care for ourselves on every level.

Becoming a parent deepened that for me. I wanted to model true self-care, not just preach it. Over time, I found what truly nourished me — and now, helping others do the same through movement, mindfulness, and massage feels like my purpose.

What’s a daily ritual or self-care practice you never skip?

Skincare, affirmations & gratitude!!

What’s your favorite way to unwind after a long day?

Honestly—just not moving for a little while feels like a gift. Since I’m on my feet a lot during the day, slowing down in the evening is something I really look forward to.
An ideal night might look like a yin yoga class, but often it’s just a few gentle stretches while watching my favorite show, or curling up with an audiobook. I also love journaling, spending time with my husband and kids, or simply soaking in the feeling of being home.
I’m a homebody at heart, and I’ve always been on a mission to create a space that feels like love, family, and peace. That alone helps me decompress. Most nights, I try to tune into what I need—whether it’s quiet, connection, or creativity—and just give myself permission not to be productive. Just to be.

What’s something quirky or unexpected that people wouldn’t guess about you?

Most people assume I’m listening to calming meditation tracks or spa music all the time… but if you catch me cleaning the house, there’s a good chance I’m blasting 2000s punk rock, classic psychedelic rock from Q107’s Sunday lineup or the soundtrack from the Cinderella Story movie.
I love a wide range of music, and honestly, nothing gets me moving like a loud, slightly nostalgic playlist. It’s such a fun way to shift the energy in my space—and in myself.

What wellness tool or technique do you swear by — even if it’s unconventional?

Dance parties. They’re one of the most underrated ways to shake off a funk or bring more joy into your day. We have them all the time in my house—no choreography, no rules, just movement and fun. It shifts energy instantly and makes space for lightness, especially after a hard or heavy day.
Also… being barefoot. People tease me about never wearing shoes, but I truly feel better when I’m grounded—literally. Whether it’s walking outside or sitting on the floor, I always gravitate toward connecting with the ground. It’s a small thing, but the energy shift is real.

Where’s your dream retreat location — and what would you do there all week?

Costa Rica holds a special place in my heart, and I’d love to return there for a retreat one day. But when I let myself really dream, I also picture somewhere like Spain—warm, soulful, and surrounded by water and trees. Honestly, anywhere with sunshine, nature, and space to exhale would be perfect.

The retreat would be gentle and restorative—full of dreamy days, slow mornings, movement that feels nourishing, and quiet moments of reflection. I imagine connecting deeply to our bodies, our breath, and to one another.

And of course, I wouldn’t want to do it alone. It’s my dream to host this kind of retreat for a group of like-minded people—space-holders, seekers, anyone craving a reset. Just real connection, slow living, and soul care.
